Two months ago, my daughter had a dude pull a u-turn into her 99 CR-V. After she bought it back from the insurance, we took possession of the wrecked carcass because it would be good to have a parts car for our 98. A couple of weeks ago, my wife noticed a 2001 at the local auction. As of last Saturday, we’re now proud owners of a third CR-V.
Today she gets a call from the same auction house. They had listed a Corvair Lakewood a few months ago but it had been pulled from the sale because the owner was unable to provide papers for the Corvair. They wanted to know if we were still interested in the Lakewood...Yes, we want it and we bought it.
Eight vehicles. Two people in the house. I’ll be selling something.

I need more details, too! Hell, I don’t even know what year it is and forgot what color it is. I thought it was rust and grey but it is actually rust and green. The Corvair Lakewood wagon was only built in 1961 and 62. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Lakewood I now have a truck and trailer arranged for Thursday to bring it home. It’s been more than ten years since I owned a Corvair and I’m pretty happy. We bought it from an auction house in Las Vegas, it was supposed to be sold at auction back in July but it was pulled from the lineup because the consignor was unable to produce paperwork. My wife does lots of business with this company so she’s familiar with them and they’re familiar with her, too. We had bid on a the CR-V in the photo and also a Roadmaster wagon that were in the same auction catalog. We didn’t get any of them.
Last week, they were auctioning another CR-V. We checked it out last Thursday and won that auction on Saturday. As we’re looking at the Honda, “Stan” remembers us and I ask about the wagon. He tells me that it may be available in the next couple of weeks and that he’ll call us if we’re still interested. I guess they really know my wife because yesterday they called and we bought the Corvair. Woo frickin’ Hoo!

My wife had to look in her “recycle bin’ to find this! She deleted the picture back in July, when it was pulled from the auction.
